“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention.”
Compassion is defined as a “deep awareness of another’s suffering coupled with the wish to relieve it.” At the very core of our humanity is shared experience. If you know what it’s like to be hurt, then you can imagine the pain of another. Similarly, if you block out your own hurt, you may be quicker to block out others as well.Part of creating inner happiness involves making a regular practice of feeling, showing and acting out of compassion. Genuine compassion doesn’t call attention to itself; it infuses all you do with a loving awareness of others. You’ll fine tune your compassion by becoming more aware of it in you and in your life.
Developing a compassionate attitude is like working a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it becomes. Enjoy this video to help find inspiration and become more compassionate in your daily life.
